African tribal style necklace with pewter spiral pendant with a 16” drop. The beads are from Ghana and made of recycled powered glass which are shaped and fired. The red tubes are dyed resin. The 2 large rondelles are spiraled coated paper. The 2 mm (about 0.08 in) brass spacer beads and the large spacer beads of coconut are handmade in Ghana. The pewter pendant was made by the Berber people of North /Africa. These are amulets worn by Berbers all through Africa. This may be a stylized horseshoe. The symbol for personal protection. This is a one-of-a-kind piece meant to be a head turner.
